HIS BEING A MAJOR PART OF 10 CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS DURING HIS TENURE and WAS RECOGNIZED BY HONORING HIM WITH THE RAZOR SHINES WEEKEND and bobblehead. FELLOW INDUCTEES INCLUDED FORMER NBA STAR PLAYER WINSTON GARLAND, award-winning sportswriter and columnist FRED B MITCHELL, pioneerING WOMEN ADVOCATE AND Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) Assistant Commissioner MILDRED BALL, basketball legend AT Gary Roosevelt High School AND WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY MANNY NEWSOME and Gary’s first Major League Baseball PLAYER, Nick STRINCEVICH.
